Whilst Long Ashton Scout Group provides Scouting to over 130 young people each week, we have a major challenge. We do not have our own facilities...

 

... instead we rely on renting spaces from local schools in order to undertake meetings. Whilst this is useful in the short-term, it does impact our ability to deliver a co-ordinated programme.

We do, however, have a solution; to build a new Headquarters for the group. Our new, purpose-built, 315 sq metre facility will be on Wild Country Lane, Long Ashton, and will be a fantastic new community facility. Its primary role will be to allow the group to deliver an excellent indoor and outdoor Scouting programme.

 

When the project is completed, we will have an excellent facility which will secure the future of the Scout Group for the next century, during which time the group will be able to provide Scouting to thousands of young people in Long Ashton and the surrounding area of North Somerset. It will also give the opportunity to expand our offering to try to cover some of those individuals that we have been unable to offer a place to thus far.
