Beavers, Cubs & Scouts Leaders/Helpers

You don’t need to be an expert in knots or a survival specialist to make a difference. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast, a brilliant storyteller, or simply someone who’s great at encouraging young people, there’s a place for you here.

We’re always looking for new leaders and helpers to support our friendly leadership team and help deliver fun, adventurous activities for our young members.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering with Scouts isn’t just about giving back — you get a lot out of it too.

Rediscover Your Inner Child

Build dens, cook over open fires, and try activities you might not have done in years.

Boost Your Skills

Gain leadership experience, learn new outdoor skills, and build confidence — all great additions to your CV.

Support Your Community

Help local young people develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and skills for life.

Flexible Commitment

Whether you can help every week or just occasionally behind the scenes, we can find a role that fits your availability.

How You Can Help

We’re always interested in hearing from enthusiastic volunteers. There are many ways to get involved:

Section Leaders

Help run weekly meetings and plan exciting activities for young people.

Occasional Helpers

Lend a hand with games, crafts, or activities whenever you’re available.

Skills Instructors

Share a hobby or skill — from coding and gardening to sports or creative arts.

Group Support

Help with equipment maintenance, administration, fundraising, or events.
