The HQ Project has been underway since 2020, when it became clear that it was appropriate to dispose of the previous HQ. This building had been deemed as not-fit-for-purpose for the modern needs of conducting Scouting. There was limited outdoor space, the building needed significant work performing on it, and there were some major safety concerns (e.g. the main access door opening directly onto a main road through the village, with no pavement in place).

The HQ was sold in 2021 and in 2022 we had the funds to start looking for a new home.
